FLY ROD
A 9 foot WT 8 rod is suitable for such a big river such as the George and his weather conditions.
Most convinient for flight transportation is a 4-piece rod, which can easely be stored in the cabin's overhead luggage department or attached to a backpack. Fly fishing equipment for Brook Trout should Include a 5 to 7 weight fly rod.

If you wish to bring fish home with you please bring suitable coolers, medium sized coolers of at least 65 liters are recommended.
Fish are packed on ice for your trip home. First Air and Air Inuit will transport the box for free. (The Pyramid Mountain Camp is not responsible for your fish once the fish have been checked in with First Air, the commercial carrier, for southbound transportation to Montreal. Please make sure your fish are placed in the freezer by the Hotel staff if you have to overnight in Montreal.) |
